The prompt for our artistic response (AR) was to create a unique moral dilemma in a similar vein to the well known “trolley problem.” Our group decided to have a similar base idea (a vehicle speeding towards one path with the ability to switch over to another) but we added a lot of extra layers and strange outcomes. The set up for our AR is this: a horse with wheels is speeding down a track with 10 babies on it, you have the option to run over the babies or switch tracks going into a dark tunnel. While the tunnel at first seems like an easy choice you risk the uncertainty of running over something even worse. We made a 12-sided die out of cardboard with images on each side representing all the things that could be lurking in the tunnel. In addition, we made a board, tunnel, horse and all the things shown on the die.
