Fungi In Our Ecosystem

These images are from our fungi mini-unit lab in Global Climate Change Ecology. We were exploring the role of fungi in our ecosystem, and how they create a carbon sink to help reduce atmospheric CO2 and mitigate the effects of climate change. The fungal species in the images are the following: Aspergillus, Cyathus fruiting body, Coprinus mushroom, wheat rust, Morchella, Lichen thallus, mature Sclerotium, powdery mildew, mold from bread with Mycelium and Sporangium and Sordaria filmicola.
