Album Cover Recreation: R.E.M. – Murmur

I think that Murmur has a kind of shaky, homemade feeling to it so all the writing is hand-written instead of a font. The cover re-do is inspired by “West of the Fields” — I really like the sepia tone of the original cover so I kept that but I can’t do any kind of photography so I had to draw it. I added the orange stripe in a moment of panic… maybe inspired by the Document cover?

On the back cover I just redid the portraits which was pretty fun, my favorite is the guy who looks like a Muppet. I also redid the track listing in the proper order. I imagine it must have been frustrating to not know what order your album went in.
