Lincoln

“I feel by looking at Lincoln’s life outside of politics, even just with those few scenes with his wife and sons, it was clear that he was an exhausted man with the weight of grief and pressure on his shoulders.”

“I liked him and the mystery behind the sheet. We cannot hear him and we cannot see him so it was entirely up to the sheet to convey his emotion.”

“I think her voice was hardly heard but it speaks to the expectation of her at the time: and through her silence we can imagine ourselves in that situation, and the thoughts we might have and are privileged to express.”

Moonlight

“I cannot even begin to fully understand the experiences presented here, but I am so thankful for movies like these that can transfer you into their headspace to at least try.”
